USA student Madison Delger came to volunteer today! She bathed puppies Oscar, Frankie and Nathan who will be WKRG’s Pet of the Week on Monday. We love our volunteers! We could not do what we do without them. If you would like to volunteer please come by or complete the online volunteer application and we will put you to work.
We accept volunteers during our regular office hours. Whatever amount of time you are willing to dedicate is wonderful, from 30 minutes to an entire day, our shelter pets and staff will appreciate seeing you.
Every day is busy with lots of jobs that need doing. Things that we frequently have volunteers help with include walking or socializing dogs or puppies, bathing dogs and puppies that are going on transport or being adopted, changing newspaper for litters of puppies, keeping water bowls and jugs full, washing dishes, cleaning cat kennels, reading to, brushing or socializing fearful cats, general cleaning, folding towels or even just unfolding the newspaper that we use for the puppies.

The office is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9-5:30, Thursday from 9-12, and Saturdays from 9-3.
