The Mobile SPCA offers a variety of dogs and cats for adoption. Most have come from our municipal shelters where they were found, picked up as strays or relinquished by their owners for a multitude of reasons including financial hardship, loss or change of job, divorce, marriage, birth of a child, allergies. Our veterinarian evaluated the health status of these animals and they have received quality care. They have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, including rabies, de-wormed, tested for heartworms and Feluk, for cats. All are on monthly flea and heartworm preventative.
To meet any pet for adoption, we ask that you first fill out an adoption form. Since it is our goal to make sure every pet we place goes into a home best suited for its needs and the adopter gets the pet that best fits their lifestyle, we need to know a little bit about you.
We are very honest with potential adopters if we are aware of a certain behavior or health issue with a pet and will gladly disclose any information we have. For example some dogs do not like small children or men, or some dogs would do best in a home with another dog buddy. Our goal is to match and place our pets in the best home possible that will meet the needs of both the pet and adopter.
If you are looking for a particular breed, size or type of pet not listed on our website, please complete a pet adoption application. Indicate what, specifically, you are looking for under the "What type of pet are you looking for today?" section. If you meet our all requirements we will call or e-mail you when a pet matching that description becomes available.
