Spay-ghetti Dinner Slated for April 28 We’re going to hold our Spay-ghetti Dinner on April 28 at Our Savior Catholic Church on Cody Road! We have a lot of challenges but we’re going to give it a try. We need a lot of donations to make this fundraiser a success — raffle items, door prizes […]

Get ’em chipped!

February 5, 2022 By MSPCA Staff Leave a Comment

Every single person whose pet is missing is either grateful for their forethought or grieving for their imprudence. Because every pet either carries with him the identification that can bring him home…or not. A lost pet that is not microchipped is a pet with far fewer chances of ever being reunited with the family he […]

Please help us continue our life saving work in 2022!

December 21, 2021 By MSPCA Staff Leave a Comment

Dear Fellow Animal Lover, As 2021 comes to a close, we reflect once again on what a complicated two years it has been for us. We, like so many others, have faced staffing shortages that hampered transport, adoptions, intake from the public, and transfers from our municipal shelters. Veterinarian shortages have stalled critical spay/neuter procedures […]

Older pets, like people, still have some living to do.

May 27, 2021 By MSPCA Staff Leave a Comment

We were so sad to learn of the passing of SETH, but at the same time, very grateful that he was able to live his last five months with happiness and love…thanks to Rene Savell. Seth’s story was a sad one, and one faced every day by so many elderly pets. We will never know […]

Please, take them to the shelter

April 16, 2021 By MSPCA Staff Leave a Comment

When perusing Facebook, how often do you see people decrying “kill shelters”? Well-meaning folks who are simply ignorant of shelter designations are unwittingly doing animals everywhere a huge disservice, and at the same time, infuriating people who DO understand the differences and who work hard every single day to change inaccurate perceptions. Municipal shelters, private […]

Our pet of the week is a six-year-old poodle named Lott.  He has a wonderful disposition and loves to be held. If you adopt him, you have to know that he needs to be spoiled and with you a lot! Like many male dogs that were neutered as adults, he tends to mark his territory and he will require some training. Because he is a poodle, he is pretty smart and that means you can train not to mark quickly, but just know that he will try to mark in your house. He will require patience!

If you are interested in adopting Lott, call the Mobile SPCA at (251) 633-3531 or click here. You will need to fill out an online application, so get started! Once we get your application we will review it and get back in touch with you. Please do not come by the office without an appointment!

The Mobile SPCA would like to thank WKRG News 5 and Shoe Station for sponsoring our WKRG News 5 Pet of the Week segment.
