Maddie's Pet Rescue Project Stats

PET OF THE WEEK

My name is Bowie.  I was adopted when I was 3 months old as a healthy and innocent puppy. In February I was found wandering the streets in south Mobile County.  I had my 2011 rabies tag on my collar that I got when I was with the MSPCA as a puppy.  I also had a tie out hook on my collar.  I broke free from being tied up in a yard – not cool.  I am great with the other dogs but can jump short fences with my long legs so a privacy fence would be good. I do well inside so I'll make a great housedog, too.  I have beautiful eyes – one blue, one brown - and am sweet and lovable. I like children and will play fetch and chase the kids and the ball but will be gentle and not mouthy with them. I love to go for a ride in the car and am a quick learner if you’ll take the time to teach me. I am 2 1/2 years old, a husky-lab mix and 62 pounds of fun. If you would like to adopt, call (251) 633-3531 or complete the online

The Maddie's Fund® mission is to revolutionize the status and well-being of companion animals. Maddie's Fund, The Pet Rescue Foundation (maddiesfund.org), is a family foundation funded by PeopleSoft and Workday Founder, Dave Duffield, and his wife, Cheryl, to help create a no-kill nation. The first step is to help develop programs that guarantee loving homes for all healthy shelter dogs and cats throughout the country. The next step is to save sick, injured and poorly behaved pets in animal shelters nationwide. The Mobile SPCA was the lead-agency for this seven-year ground breaking project in Mobile. The Mobile SPCA and its partners accomplished so much and will continue to reach for our goal of making Mobile a no-kill county!
