Maddie's Pet Rescue Project Stats

PET OF THE WEEK

My name is Louisa and I was transferred from the County Shelter.  I am crate trained and possibly house trained. I am very playful and I do well with other dogs, especially bigger dogs. I play a too rough for the little guys. I am very sweet. The top of me looks like a lab but my short legs prove me a Basset mix! I am about 3 years old, heartworm negative and about 30 pounds. I am learning to walk better on a leash - I tend to get distracted and pull a bit. If you would like to adopt one of our great cats or dogs, call (251) 633-3531 or complete the online

The Maddie's Fund® mission is to revolutionize the status and well-being of companion animals. Maddie's Fund, The Pet Rescue Foundation (maddiesfund.org), is a family foundation funded by PeopleSoft and Workday Founder, Dave Duffield, and his wife, Cheryl, to help create a no-kill nation. The first step is to help develop programs that guarantee loving homes for all healthy shelter dogs and cats throughout the country. The next step is to save sick, injured and poorly behaved pets in animal shelters nationwide. The Mobile SPCA was the lead-agency for this seven-year ground breaking project in Mobile. The Mobile SPCA and its partners accomplished so much and will continue to reach for our goal of making Mobile a no-kill county!
